Position Summary



The Architectural Town Planning Officer is responsible for overseeing and coordinating architectural project planning activities, ensuring compliance with all applicable council regulations and planning requirements. This role involves providing analytical insights, reviewing development proposals, and working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to support project execution from concept through approval. The position also requires effective communication with councils to monitor progress and resolve planning issues.

Key Responsibilities



Oversee and coordinate the architectural planning aspects of projects, ensuring alignment with local and regional planning frameworks. Review and assess architectural and town planning proposals to ensure compliance with council requirements and relevant legislation. Prepare and submit documentation, applications, and reports for planning approval processes. Provide analytical insights, feasibility assessments, and technical advice to inform project decisions. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams--including architects, engineers, and planners--to ensure cohesive project execution. Engage with local councils and other authorities to communicate project progress, address queries, and resolve planning or compliance issues. Maintain accurate records of planning activities, council correspondence, and regulatory approvals. Contribute to continuous improvement of planning and design standards within the organization.

Qualifications and Experience



Education:

Bachelor's degree in Architecture, town Planning, or a related field (required).

Experience:

Proven professional experience in architectural planning, town design, or town planning (required).

Knowledge:

Strong understanding of council planning frameworks, local regulations, and statutory compliance processes (required).

Skills:

Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide detailed planning assessments. Project planning and management capabilities to oversee multiple concurrent projects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with councils, stakeholders, and internal teams. Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 25,000.00-40,000.00 per year
