Part 1 Architectural Assistant - Sussex Studio

ECE Architecture is an award-winning architectural practice with a strong reputation for delivering innovative and sustainable designs. We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Part 1 Architectural Assistant to join our dynamic team in our Sussex studio. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects and gain valuable experience within a renowned architectural practice.

Responsibilities





As a Part 1 Architectural Assistant at ECE Architecture, you will have the opportunity to contribute to various stages of the design and construction process. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:


Assisting Senior Architects and project teams in the development of design concepts and presentations. Conducting research and preparing drawings and models to communicate design ideas effectively. Collaborating with consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure the smooth execution of projects. Assisting in the production of detailed technical drawings and specifications. Participating in site visits and construction inspections to gain practical experience. Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

Requirements





To be considered for this position, you should meet the following criteria:


Hold a Part 1 degree in Architecture from an accredited institution. Proficiency in industry-standard software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. Strong conceptual and design skills, with the ability to think creatively and critically. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and clients. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. A keen interest in sustainable design and a desire to contribute to the creation of environmentally conscious buildings. A portfolio demonstrating your design abilities and technical skills. understanding of contemporary construction methodologies.

Remuneration & package





This position is for a fixed term 12-month contract at the "Real Living Wage" plus benefits.


Studio





ECE Sussex is a modern, highly sociable studio, just a stone throw from the seafront in West Sussex.



The studio is conveniently located within a short walk of Worthing and East Worthing train station and there is free parking within a 15-minute walk.
