Architectural Project Lead

ATP, an RSK Group company, are recruiting for a Architectural Project Lead to join the team based in Loughton. This is a full-time, permanent position.
We are looking for someone with extensive experience in the residential sector and leading teams of up to four members. We are also someone who has extensive experience directly liaising with clients as well.
Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, management and direction to a team.
  • Acting as Lead Consultant, management consultants employed by our client(s) ensuring the delivery of their work is on programme.
  • Reporting regular updates to our client on behalf of our consultants.
  • Provide full 'Architect's Service' as described in the RIBA Plan of Work and the 'Standard Form of Agreement for the Appointment of an Architect'.
  • Effectively assess team strengths and help delivery their abilities and potential.
  • Provide and maintain high standards of design, construction and contract management.
  • Support colleagues in maintaining standards and ensuring all round compliance.
  • Check drawings and specifications prepared by ATP and the consultant team, for coordination, technical accuracy and compliance with appropriate standards.
  • Provide architectural advice to clients.
  • Lead by example to staff members in terms of drive and commitment to role.
  • Oversee a team of Architects and Technical staff.
  • Prepare technical documentation and oversee the production of drawings.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Evidence of excellent design and technical understanding.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Versatile use of media in the development and documentation of design projects.
  • Understanding of construction technologies
  • Knowledge of the planning process, policies, building regulations, NHBC standards and all-over technical standards.
  • Advanced use of AutoCAD and Revit in preparation of architectural drawings.
  • Strong leadership skills
