ARCHITECTURAL TECHNICIAN
WARRINGTON

Permanent Staff Position

They are seeking an Architectural Technician with experience of residential development schemes to join their established Technical Department. If you are passionate about creating exceptional living spaces, have and possess demonstrable technical design skills, we are keen to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

You will play a crucial role in the design and development of our client\'s residential projects. Key responsibilities will include:

  • House Type and Apartment Working Drawings: Creating detailed house type and apartment working drawings and specifications to facilitate construction processes.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with UK Building Regulations and other relevant standards in all architectural designs.
  • Software Proficiency: Utilizing industry-standard software, including AutoCAD and Adobe Photoshop, to produce accurate architectural documentation. The ability to quickly adapt to new software is a plus.
  • Independent and Team Work: Demonstrating initiative by working independently on tasks while also collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Time Management: Managing your work efficiently to meet project timelines and deadlines.
  • Technical Documentation: Preparing comprehensive technical documentation for construction projects, including plans, sections, elevations, and details.
  • Communication: Effectively communicating and collaborating with architects, engineers, and other team members to achieve project objectives.
  • Pressure Handling: Thriving in a fast-paced environment and delivering high-quality work even under tight deadlines.
Skills & Experience:

Suitable candidates should be able to demonstrate:
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a house building company or consultancy serving house builders.
  • A deep understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction practices.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Photoshop, or the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software tools.
  • Excellent time management skills to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, showing initiative and adaptability.
