Job Description

We are seeking an Architectural Technologist or Technician with enthusiasm for working on the conservation and creative transformation of historic buildings, and an interest in environmentally sustainable building.

Based in Ludlow town centre, we mainly work on high quality town and country residential projects for a broad based portfolio of private clients and with a steady flow of exciting new commissions. Ludlow is a beautiful town, full of listed buildings, and much of our work is in the sensitive refurbishment of existing properties, with some new build design.

It is essential that you are fully conversant with UK planning, listed building, and building regulations and can demonstrate experience in preparing the relevant local authority applications and dealing with conditions.

Assisting the Project Architects, this an opportunity to develop your design and detailing skills, preparing 2D AutoCAD drawings and 3D SketchUp visualisations, and to be a key member of our small team.

You will be proficient in both AutoCAD and SketchUp, with a good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. You will be well organised, able to work to deadlines, and confident in liaising directly with clients and the Local Authority.

Hours are 9am-5.30pm Monday to Friday, with an hour lunch break (37.5 hours/week) and some flexibility by arrangement.
