It is an exciting time to join Stoke-on-Trent City Council (SOTCC) as we look to reimagine our Museum and Archives Service with a 5m redevelopment currently underway at The Potteries Museum and Art Gallery (PMAG) funded through Arts Council England and the 1.7m relocation of the City Archives Service to the museum in 2024 ensuring the city's cultural offer is further enhanced for our visitors.
We are seeking a passionate, experienced Archives Services Manager to manage the day-to-day operation of Stoke-on-Trent City Archives within the policy framework established by the Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent Joint Archive Committee, and the operating procedures of Stoke on Trent City Council.
As the Archives Services Manager, you'll have the opportunity to shape the future of our archives service, enhancing access to historical records and promoting their educational and cultural value.
This role offers a fantastic platform to make a real difference in how our local history is preserved, shared, and celebrated.
