Hands-on delivery of an excellent cleaning service manage staffing, including recruiting, organizing cover, and recording accurate payroll information manage cleaning resources with pre-agreed budgets, including managing, ordering and reporting on stock;
develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients and staff in your area including supervisors, managers and operatives;
ensure regular inspections and quality checks take place and remedy any shortfalls people management e.g. inducting, motivating and developing team members and managing performance, attendance and grievances etc.;
ensure compliance with safety standards and safe systems of work and carry out risk assessments
You will be responsible for the management of, and reporting on, periodic work. In addition you will carry out, as and when required, a number of ad-hoc tasks including: one-off building cleans, kitchen deep cleans, toilet sanitisation cleans, carpet cleans etc. any other special projects.
Cover responsibilities:
You will provide cover for absent site supervisors/managers/cleaners as and when required. The cover is likely to include cleaning duties.
Experience & Skills:
minimum of 1-year in the commercial cleaning industry,
good knowledge of modern cleaning techniques,
experience of managing contracts, including budgets and staffing,
manage time constructively and work effectively without supervision,
excellent communication skills in speaking, writing and listening
excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
positive, proactive and flexible approach
good IT skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and internet and email.
