Mon-Fri 07:00-15:30 (Occasional Bank Holidays & Sundays if required)

We're looking for a hands-on Area Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of our food distribution warehouse. You'll lead a close-knit team of warehouse operators and drivers, ensuring that boxes of food items are picked and packed accurately and that they are sent to appropriate locations according to stock level data.

This is a key role combining people management, organisation, and logistics planning. Ideal for someone who enjoys being involved on the warehouse floor while keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and support a small warehouse team, including picking and packing staff Oversee daily warehouse operations to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and Health & Safety standards Plan and provide delivery routes for van drivers using routing system Monitor stock levels and support inventory control Act as the main point of contact between warehouse staff and drivers Identify opportunities to improve processes and workflow efficiency

About You

Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution role (management or supervisory experience preferred) Forklift driver licence preferred, or willingness to obtain Confident managing and motivating a small team Strong organisational and planning skills, especially around route planning or scheduling Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment Great communication & People skills with both warehouse staff and drivers Good IT skills (route planning systems and/or spreadsheets an advantage) A practical, problem-solving mindset
