Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Area Manager to oversee the daily operations of our childcare centres in Harlow, Romford, Braintree. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team, ensuring high standards of childcare, and maintaining a safe, nurturing environment for children. Duties

Lead and supervise staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality childcare services in accordance with organisational policies and regulatory standards. Develop and implement programmes that promote the social, emotional, and educational development of children. Manage daily centre operations, including staff scheduling, resource allocation, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations. Foster effective communication with parents, carers, and team members to support children's well-being and development. Monitor staff performance, provide coaching and professional development opportunities, and conduct appraisals. Ensure the centre maintains a welcoming, organised environment that encourages learning and growth. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Proven management and leadership experience within early childhood education or childcare settings. Strong understanding of nursery practices, child development, and early childhood education principles. Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with staff, parents, and children. Experience working with children of various ages, including familiarity with childcare regulations and standards. Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate centre visits or outreach activities. Passionate about creating a safe, nurturing environment that supports children's learning experiences. Organised, proactive, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
