This role sits within our Education division - catering for students. What you\'ll be doing...

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and enhance catering operations within designated units, ensuring adherence to policies and commercial boundaries
  • Foster strong client relationships and uphold the company\'s reputation for quality food and service
  • Act professionally, reflecting the Chef Manager role, and set a standard for all staff interactions
  • Manage school catering operations to maintain company standards; focus on health and wellbeing for students
  • Train catering staff to improve production and presentation.
  • Develop menus compliant with food and nutrition regulations
  • Prioritize food sustainability and work closely with company dieticians on special diets
  • Ensure commercial control, recruit and train staff per company guidelines, and promote staff cohesion
  • Regularly audit sites for food quality, hygiene, safety, and other standards
  • Implement effective procedures and records within schools, ensure safe work environments, and maintain clear communication with team and external parties
  • Work with school SNAGs, help gather evidence for performance metrics, and perform any related duties as needed

  • Experience of the school meals service is required
  • You must be organised, professional and motivating
  • You must have excellent communication skills with the ability to meet various deadlines
  • The right candidate will provide an integral role to support the Operations Director in this rapidly expanding business
