Overall Mission
As an expert in Cold Chain management, warehousing, distribution and aviation compliance and security, his/her role is to provide guidance, instruction, direction, and leadership to the UK teams and in particular to the warehouse, distribution and cold chain teams for whom he/she is responsible.
He/she ensures that the facility is well managed and maintained in accordance with Company Standard Operating Procedures, Good Distribution Practice guidelines , Cold Chain best practices and regulations.
Main Contribution
Cold chain and QualityKey contact in the UK for all subjects / topics related to the Cold Chain Management
Support the sales force in its business development initiatives Support the GDP - Responsible Person in cold chain activities
Participate in the RFQs and questionnaires on his/her field of expertise
Participate in selection of equipment and implementation of new systems.
Assist in product recalls/returns
Understand proper control and monitoring of the storage/conditioning areas - lead temp mapping exercises, write protocols and reports
Keep monitoring equipment calibrated and serviced
Complete investigations and CAPAs in a timely manner
Ability to interrogate logger data to fully explain root causes of temperature excursions
Manager of the day to day operations on site :
Receipt of shipments in accordance with CRYOPDP procedures and regulations.
Oversee Stock control including periodic cycle counts of product and packaging material.
Recording and data entering all information regarding temp controlled packaging.
Communication with the logistics coordinators via TMS system, email and phone
Evaluate subcontractors following proper process
Ensure all staff are appropriately trained and records updated
Accountable for Quality & Safety requirements
Ensure warehouses and practices meet all required regulatory standards.
Ensure that all refrigeration units are functioning properly via monitoring systems.Ensure all orders are prepared in accordance with client's needs and CRYOPDP regulations.
Participate in and manage internal and external audits.
Ensure good documentation practice throughout the department
Ensure cost-effective management of supplies.
Warehouse and TransportLead and manage the UK Warehouse and Transport teams to deliver service excellence in line with the quality/regulatory requirements and the budget targets
Ensure all Warehouse and Transport personnel adhere to CRYOPDP Employee policies, Internal Quality Processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and UK regulations as prescribed by CAA, VOSA & HSE & MHRA (GDP).
Understand the change control process in line with CRYOPDP quality team
Ensure all Health & Safety risk assessments involving UK warehousing are continually evaluated, processes and procedures updated to ensure all risks are mitigated.
Ensure the cost efficiencies of this scope : continuous UK route & trunker optimisation, fuel efficiencies and costs using telematics and driver training, fleet costs including maintenance, repairs and consumables, optimisation of the use of in house and subcontracted transport teams.
Maintain positive and productive relationships with all CRYOPDP offices and departments to ensure service excellence and patient centric approach.
Support CRYOPDP commercial teams in identifying, analyzing, developing and delivering UK Network capable of delivering service excellence in line with budget requirements.
Security (SSR)Ensure the site is secure and all security protocols are followed
Control all hard copy & digital personnel files ensuring they're up to date
Issue relevant training to keep the company compliant
Conduct weekly S.S.R. checks highlighting and combating deficiencies
Control of the building security system
Sole control over the sites security plan
In the event of a CAA/DFT audit be able to produce the security plan with 30 mins
Random security audits to ensure employees remain compliant
Health and Safety (HSE)
Ensure all Health & Safety risk assessments involving UK warehousing, transport and the site are continually evaluated, processes and procedures updated to ensure all risks are mitigated.Implement H&S to ISO 45001 standards
Communication on matters pertaining to H&S

Required Skills
5 years (minimum) experience in temperature-controlled logistics with a heavy focus on Managing Operations , Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry is preferred
Fluent in written and spoken English
