Area Sales Manager

to grow hire revenue across an assigned territory by developing new client relationships and maximising repeat hire from existing customers.

This is a

Key Responsibilities

Grow

hire revenue

across an assigned geographical area Proactively win new

B2B hire accounts

with contractors and infrastructure clients Manage and expand existing customer relationships to maximise utilisation and repeat hire Promote Groundshore's range of

specialist hire equipment and services

Visit sites, depots, and client offices to develop opportunities Work closely with depot, transport, and operations teams to ensure smooth hire delivery Accurately manage leads, enquiries, and pipeline using the company CRM Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and market trends within the territory Provide regular activity and performance reporting to senior management

Candidate Requirements

Proven experience in

hire sales

(plant, specialist hire, or related sectors) Strong understanding of construction and civils project environments Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills Commercially focused, target-driven, and self-motivated Able to manage a busy territory independently Confident communicator with site teams, buyers, and senior stakeholders

Desirable (but not essential)

Experience within

specialist hire

(temporary works, piling, shoring, welfare, etc.) Existing client network within construction or infrastructure CRM experience Previous area or regional sales responsibility
