We are working with a fantastic company that specialises in the supply of commercial assets. The group has grown from a core rental product to cover nine distinct asset groups. They have developed on the back of innovation and a commitment to service excellence. Our client gives their customers an increased capability without risking capital and endow them with the flexibility to say \xe2\x80\x98yes\xe2\x80\x99 to any growth opportunities. They currently work throughout the UK and Europe, and are utilised by the largest corporates through to SMEs who work in logistics, retail, transportation, food production, pharmaceuticals and many other sectors.

This particular role covers over multiple post code areas around Heathrow and comes with a mid-range car.

The role will focus on the business unit within the group that supplies vans and other smaller commercial vehicles.

The Area Sales Manager delivers agreed annual budgeted sales through self-motivation and strategic account development. The job requires a balance of individual sales actions and achievements plus, development of the business via agreed national working processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivery of an agreed quarterly and annual budget
  • Selection and development of strategic local and national accounts
  • Providing excellent customer service standards to all UK customers
  • Converting new business opportunities from leads, referrals, and prospecting activities.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental and business ethics requirements
  • Ensuring total alignment to nationally agreed policies and procedures
  • Leading local business development through personal engagement and motivation of direct sales and hire desk personnel
  • Be the figurehead/local representative for the company
  • Personally lead by example to ensure all staff cooperate to the highest levels with other business units in the best interests of all customers and colleagues
  • Getting all within the company to think locally and nationally, both individual company and Group focused for new opportunities
  • Ensuring excellent compliance with national policies and intercompany opportunities
  • In a price sensitive market, ensure you sell on service and retain focus on financial returns and profitability not just fleet growth
  • Need for excellent working relationships across business units and functions
  • Identify and develop potential markets that relate to the geographical area covered by the branch.
  • Assist in the development of other areas of the country helping to expand the business as the network grows.
