LC International Ltd is seeking an ambitious and experienced
Compact Plant Sales Manager
to drive sales of
0-9 tonne compact plant equipment
across designated areas within the UK. This role is client-facing and mobile, requiring travel to customer sites nationwide, with one day per week in our Rochester, Kent office for reporting, internal meetings, and cross-department collaboration.
The successful candidate will be
a proven sales professional
, commercially aware, target-driven, and capable of cross-selling other services within LC International Ltd, including mechanical engineering, servicing, and plant solutions. You will be responsible for
developing new business, managing existing clients, and meeting or exceeding manufacturer sales targets
.
Key Responsibilities
Actively promote and sell
compact equipment 0-9 tonne
, including mini excavators and other light machinery.
Achieve or exceed
sales targets set by manufacturers
.
Generate new business through prospecting, networking, and industry engagement.
Conduct on-site consultations, equipment demonstrations, and technical discussions.
Provide accurate quotations, ROI analysis, and financial projections for clients.
Negotiate and close deals, managing the sales process from enquiry to completion.
Cross-sell
additional LC International services and departments where appropriate.
Maintain detailed records in the CRM system and provide regular sales reports.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and accounts teams to ensure seamless customer service.
Attend industry exhibitions, trade shows, and manufacturer training sessions.
Monitor market trends and competitor activity to provide strategic insight.
Person Specification
Essential:
Proven track record in
compact plant or construction equipment sales
(0-9 tonne)
Strong commercial awareness and
financially minded approach
Confident communicator with excellent negotiation and influencing skills
Target-driven, self-motivated, and proactive
Ability to manage the
full sales cycle
, from lead generation to close
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide
Professional, company-focused, and committed to business growth
Desirable:
Knowledge of compact plant operators, rental fleets, and construction/recycling sectors
Experience selling mini excavators or other construction equipment
Understanding of aftersales support and service solutions
