Job Description

KUHN UK is looking for an enthusiastic Area Sales Manager to join its sales team. Reporting into the UK Sales Manager, you will be directly responsible for managing sales activities for a network of agricultural machinery dealers within the prescribed territory. Stocking levels, forward planning and forecasting are key elements of this home-based role, in which you will largely be responsible for managing your own schedule.


Key Responsibilities:



You'll have previous experience in territory sales management, displaying a successful commercial background including dealer business development Adept at providing positive service levels to your dealers, you should be familiar with regular call cycles and have the flexibility to react quickly to changing seasonal requirements or dealership opportunities Your background will be solidly agricultural machinery based, and you should have some hands-on practical skills to be able to contribute positively to demonstrations, installations and training requirements Self-motivated, you'll have experience of working autonomously, displaying a strong willingness to succeed Your commercial skillset will include enquiry qualification, quotations and a positive deal-closing mentality underpinned by tenacity and resilience Developing positive working relationships with key personnel within the dealer businesses you are responsible for will ensure commercial success on a long-term basis You'll be familiar with the changing dealer landscape and display up to date knowledge of the UK agricultural machinery market Located in or prepared to relocate to the east of England, you should be prepared to travel throughout the territory and possess a full, clean driving licence

Essential Experience:



Demonstrable commercial success within the agricultural machinery sector Working within the UK agricultural machinery dealer network or for a manufacturer Capable of working within a budgetary framework, motivated by achieving and exceeding targets Hands-on and practical experience in the set-up and correct operation of modern agricultural machinery at a semi-technical level Strong interpersonal skills, capable of establishing and developing rewarding professional relationships, with a well-developed spectrum of communication strategies Strong level of IT literacy and familiar with modern sales and marketing methods including social media and CRM systems
