The Opportunity
We are looking for a dynamic Area Sales Manager to lead sales efforts across Scotland. This is a fully field-based role offering the autonomy to manage your territory while supporting and growing relationships with our industrial distribution partners. You will play a key role in driving sales growth through tailored strategies and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and grow customer accounts across your sales area
Responsible for the sales development strategy within Scotland
Support and collaborate with distribution partners
End-user sales activities, product demonstrations and prospecting
Sell the full Klingspor abrasive product portfolio across multiple industry sectors
Maintain accurate sales and call reports using Salesforce CRM
Control of pricing structure in line with company guidelines
Prepare budget plans and sales forecasts
Due to the size of the area, structured travel planning within the region is required, including occasional overnight stays
Qualifications and Experience
Proven experience in industrial sales, preferably within abrasives or related sectors
Knowledge of abrasive products is an advantage; full training provided
Hands-on experience with power tools and product demonstrations
Strong skills in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
Experience using CRM systems, especially Salesforce and SAP
Understanding of pricing, costings, and margin management
Strategic thinker with excellent negotiation and communication skills
Understanding of Scotland's geographic and industrial landscape
Reliable, motivated, professional, and a true team player
Full, clean UK driving licence
