About the Role


We seeking a dynamic and driven

Area Sales Manager

to promote and sell our premium tipping trailers and truck tipper bodies. This role involves managing and growing sales across a defined territory by working directly with end-users and in collaboration with a truck dealer network.

You will play a key role in building strong customer relationships, achieving sales targets, and delivering an excellent customer experience from initial contact through to delivery and post-sale support.

Main Responsibilities:



Drive sales of our client's products, consistently achieving or exceeding volume, profit, and finance penetration targets. Develop and maintain strong relationships with both dealers and end-users, supporting them through the complete sales cycle. Identify and act on new business opportunities, providing tailored solutions to meet individual customer needs. Coach and support dealer partners to enhance their product knowledge and sales capabilities. Collaborate cross-functionally to remove sales barriers and ensure smooth processes. Maintain accurate records and manage your sales pipeline using the Workbooks CRM system. Prepare and manage quotations and order documentation to enable smooth, on-time deliveries. Create and execute an actionable territory sales plan focused on sustainable, profitable growth. Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout and after the sales process. Attend trade shows and customer events, and support the company's promotional and social media efforts. Liaise with internal teams to ensure excellent service delivery and customer satisfaction. Perform any other duties as reasonably requested by management.

Key Skills & Competencies:



Proven success in B2B field sales, ideally within the trailers, truck bodies, or commercial vehicle industry. Experience selling through dealer or intermediary networks. Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships and close sales effectively. Strong consultative selling skills with a customer-first approach. Competent in using CRM systems (e.g., Workbooks) and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word). Self-motivated, tenacious, and proactive with excellent time management skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Willing and able to travel across your assigned region and represent the company at industry events.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:



NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent) in Business, Finance, or a related field. Evidence of advanced sales training or professional development in sales. Strong knowledge of UK trailer and truck body markets and customer requirements. Experience in both direct sales and selling through dealers or intermediaries.

Commercial vehicle sales: 10 years (preferred) Trailer manufacturing : 5 years (preferred)
