About the Role: Area Manager (South West)



Ideally you will be located in the Bristol area. You will be managing and developing existing and prospective accounts within the South West of England & South Wales. This will be achieved by expanding and developing relationships with SIP customers base.

Overall Responsibilities:



1) To develop existing accounts to achieve sales targets.

2) To identify and develop prospect accounts.

3) Problem solving and proactive thinking.

4) Generate a network of customer contacts.

5) Set a Business Development plan annually with each customer contact.

6) Deliver the action points required to deliver the annual plan.

7) Ensure sales with customers meet SIP profit margin expectations.

8) Achieve the annual sales and profit targets across the portfolio of customers.

9) Regular meetings with customers. Visit each customer as required to optimize the mutual relationship between SIP and the customer.

10) Confirm & attend regional meetings with customers with the relevant SIP Regional Manager / National Account Manager.

11) Ensure that customer meetings are delivered to the classic style reflecting the SIP culture whilst meeting customer preferences.

12) Ensure the SIP office facility is used to host customer training, relationship building, business meeting and range selection meetings during the year.

13) Generate a conveyor belt of innovation and activity with all customers.

14) Whilst working with the Commercial Team, lead the negotiation and structural architecture of customer terms, conditions and rebate arrangements to ensure SIP are robustly represented.

15) Advise the Company of the optimum pricing strategy to increase trading margins across the account portfolio whilst growing revenue numbers.

16) Advise and guide the sales leadership on matters of commercial opportunity, risk, sensitivity across the account portfolio

17) Set up representation at distributor and multi-site customer Regional Manager meetings.

18) Manage customer Credit Control departments to ensure payment to SIP on time, every time.

19) Lead the resolution of any customer queries or disputes that might lead to customer dissatisfaction or delayed payments.

20) Adhere to all Company policies and procedures at all times.

21) Provide the appropriate Company personnel with timely reports regarding interaction with customer contacts.

22) Submit reports to the Company as set out by the SIP Management Team.

23) Attend internal meetings when and as required.

24) Liaise closely with SIP supporting departments to maximize both profitable business, and organization efficiency and effectiveness.

25) Report back to SIP any market, customer or competitor information that becomes available within or without the course of executing the role.

26) Using the Vecta CRM system & the One Office system for day-to-day management.

27) Positive attitude supporting the Company at all times.

28) Any other duties as may reasonably be required.
