Main Purpose of Role
Focusing on Key Direct Retailers, Independent Retailers, Omni Customers and Distributors, the role will involve being responsible for driving revenue and margin growth by managing sales activities, developing and executing sales plans, setting sales targets, and monitoring performance against those targets.
The role will also involve building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and customers to foster trust and loyalty, analysing market trends, identifying new business opportunities, and adapting sales strategies, alongside tracking sales performance, analysing sales data, reporting market and competitor activity and providing regular reports and forecasts to the line Manager.
Key Accountabilities
Achievement of financial metrics and brand awareness targets, which will be reviewed and set annually in line with business targets to achieve profit and growth
Development and implementation of customer account plans to achieve revenue targets and business objectives within assigned territory.
Smooth rollout of new product launches, achieving display targets and conducting staff training.
Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
Work closely with marketing teams to develop promotional strategies and sales collateral that align with market needs and enhance product visibility.
Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions and other events as required on both a regional and national level to network with key customers and promote our products.
Cover other regional territories when required to maintain support and continuity to customers.
Share best practice and continuous improvement opportunities to improve and simplify processes.
Maintain CRM, to record customer details, journey planning, visit reports, sales data, websites and account plans
Report concisely territory and competitor activity by means of a monthly report.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Essential Criteria
Valid UK driving licence and passport
Proven record in sales, business development and customer account planning
Experience of dealing with Independent Retailers, Omni Customers and Distributors.
Good financial acumen and strong commercial awareness
Excellent negotiation and customer management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Intermediate level IT skills
Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Willingness to learn
Able to problem solve
Good time management
Desirable Criteria
Relevant experience of the Fireplace Industry
Experience of online retail
Familiar with Microsoft outlook and CRM system
Well-developed analytical skills

Travel
You will be required to travel to customer sites within your territory, plus exhibitions, events and other group locations inside and outside of the UK. Overnight stays will be necessary and you will occasionally be expected to work and travel outside of normal business hours.
