It is within this energetic team at Marley, that we are recruiting for an Area Sales Manager to cover the counties of both Oxfordshire and Wiltshire. This is a successful, well-balanced region with some already long-standing diverse relationships in place and projected to have a healthy turnover this year.

So, what\'s my mission?
With training and support from your team, you\'ll have full autonomy for managing this well-established region. Ensuring existing relationships are nurtured, you\'ll need to balance the development of new and critical business opportunities across a wide range of customers.

The first step will be to proactively identify, influence, and deliver a strong pipeline of projects with specifiers, architects and contractors. Once specification opportunities have been established, you\'ll negotiate, develop and implement specific business plans to achieve regional sales targets. You\'ll be responsible for the promotion of early pre-tender engagement, and you\'ll prepare and present project related value propositions and solutions. The role will include attending regular meetings across your region, and the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly forecasts to support with planning.

In this regional role, you\'ll need to ideally live on patch, have a UK driving license and own your own car (Car allowance and Expenses are part of your package).

Areas covered will take you across Oxfordshire and Wiltshire allowing you to focus on our varied customer base, from niche house builders to Merchants and Contractors.

What will you need to bring with you?
Previous success has shown we need a commercial thinker who has a flair for sales. You don\'t need to have done a similar job, and this may be your first opportunity since graduating, but you do need to show us your ambition and passion within sales. Other skills to bring include;
  • A passion for your customers, ensuring they are at the heart of all you do
  • An appreciation of the construction industry and the range of customers within it
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Resilience and patience with an awareness of long sales processes
  • The ability to achieve targets through planning, analysis, strategic implementation, and commercial acumen
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • The ability to support, influence, and enthuse
  • A rounded skill set, energetic, with a clear ambition to progress and a passion for learning
