The operation is fully integrated from R&D, international product approval, manufacturing production and assembly, sales and marketing, to full lifecycle support (via our Test and Maintenance Services division). In recent years the business has been undergoing an accelerating series of transformative changes including investment in new management structures and processes, new facilities and plant, a new ERP system and a torrent of new products: the business is now capitalising on this on-going investment programme and is achieving substantial rates of growth.

The Role Overview:



Area Sales Manager (UK South) for the products manufactured by Seetru Limited, safety valves, liquid level gauges and additional products.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for growing market share and developing relationships and business opportunities with new, existing and dormant customers in an agreed regional area that encompasses the South of the UK. This role is ideal for someone eager to broaden their skills, take on new responsibilities, is ambitious and ready to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities:



Plan, prioritise and organise personal sales activities and customer / prospect contact towards achieving agreed business aims - especially managing personal time and productivity. Plan and manage personal business portfolio / territory / business according to an agreed market development strategy. Contribute in the setting of future market development strategies. Markets to address include cultivating potential within OEMs as well as broad based general safety valve/level gauge users. Maintain and develop existing and new customers (and re-build sales with old / lost customers) through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods and relevant internal liaison. Plan / carry out / support marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales, and integrate personal sales efforts with other organized marketing activities, e.g., product launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions and telemarketing. Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information. Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods. Communicate with people outside the organization and represent the organisation to customers. Confer with potential customers regarding product needs and advise customers on types of products equipment to purchase. Convince customers to buy our products and act as the customer's representative within our organisation, i.e. the customer's champion. Work to optimise our quality of service, business growth and customer satisfaction and so develop profitable business and sustainable relationships. Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development. Undertake any other projects or activities as and when requested to do so. Undertake training and personal development in order to maximize effectiveness in post: develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills. Undertake travel within the UK to meet the requirements of the role, outlined above.

Skills and Attributes



Proven sales experience Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Self-motivated and driven Track record of maintaining a CRM system with accurate and up-to-date information, effectively utilising the information contained within the system to drive sales. Organised and able to prioritise, detail and be process oriented. Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, communicating clearly and effectively with all levels of stakeholders (internal and external) Highly effective negotiation and closing skills. Sound judgement and decision-making. Team player, able to work under own initiative and with limited supervision. Committed and self-motivated to achieve first-class results. Professional appearance and demeanour. Strong computer (ICT) skills, with experience of CRM systems, MS Windows, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
