About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager
to join our growing team within the lubricants and automotive sector. Based in the East Midlands, you will take full responsibility for driving B2B sales and managing key customer relationships across a defined territory.
This is a hands-on role focused on delivering growth through both new business acquisition and account development. You will work closely with internal teams and report directly to our leadership team. You will have a unique opportunity to grow within a competitive market, supported by a superior product in your hands.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and grow sales within the assigned territory
Develop new business opportunities with B2B clients including distributors, garages, fleets, and industrial users
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure high levels of retention and repeat business
Create and execute territory plans to meet or exceed sales targets
Provide sales forecasting and reporting to senior management
Monitor market trends and competitor activity and feedback insights to the business
Represent the company at trade events and exhibitions
Maintain detailed CRM records and manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience, with at least 2 years in the lubricants or automotive sector
Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
Strong knowledge of lubricants, automotive parts, or related industrial consumables
Self-starter with excellent time management and organisational skills
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Comfortable working autonomously and travelling regularly across the region
Competent with CRM systems and Microsoft Office
Full UK driving license (company car for sales visits provided)

Competitive base salary: 45,000 - 50,000, depending on experience
