We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Area Technical Sales Manager to join our team in Bristol, United Kingdom. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing key accounts, and providing technical expertise to customers in the assigned territory.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets
Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base within the assigned area
Conduct technical product demonstrations and presentations to potential clients
Provide expert technical advice and support to customers, addressing their specific needs
Collaborate with the engineering and product development teams to gather customer feedback and contribute to product improvements
Manage and nurture relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategies
Prepare and deliver accurate sales forecasts, reports, and presentations to management
Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to represent the company and generate leads
Stay up-to-date with industry developments and maintain in-depth product knowledge
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (preferred)
Proven track record of success in technical sales, with experience managing a sales territory
Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly grasp complex product specifications
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels
Proficiency in customer relationship management (CRM) software and sales tools
Outstanding presentation and negotiation skills
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Industry-specific knowledge and understanding of technical product applications
Sales certifications (e.g., Certified Sales Professional) are a plus
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Bristol area and surrounding regions
