Job Description

We have an exciting new opportunity for an Area Sales Manager (field-based) to cover Lancashire and North Yorkshire.

Reporting to the Sales Director, the successful candidate will be a sales professional who will be responsible for looking after many of our existing customers mainly in Lancashire and North Yorkshire.

You will work 40 hours per week Monday to Friday. Extra hours and flexibility are needed according to the needs of the business. This role attracts a competitive salary, 30 days holiday (incl. bank holidays), discount card, company car, mobile phone and tablet.

Duties and Responsibilities

To develop and grow your sales area in Lancashire and North Yorkshire by calling regularly on existing customers whilst also spending time canvassing for new accounts in a professional manner.

Deal with customer queries helpfully and politely and pass them on to the relevant departments. To use any sales aids necessary in the course of your work. To promote our product range and level of service whilst informing customers of new products, promotions, etc. To promote the benefits of our on-line ordering system and link in with the team in our Carlisle Head Office. To complete all paperwork fully and punctually to include new account forms and monthly expenses. To liaise with the accounts department and credit control to assist with all aspects of account management. To carry out any other duties as reasonably required.

Skills & Qualifications

Sales experience within the foodservice sector and a passion for food and the hospitality industry. Strong communication, presentation and organisational skills. Be self-motivated, confident, positive and have a strong desire to deliver results and provide exceptional customer service. Good numerical and IT skills.
