6 sessions a week (to include Mondays and Wednesdays)
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate newly qualified GP to join our close-knit and supportive team at Bishops Waltham Surgery, replacing retiring colleagues who have been integral to our practice for many years. This is a rare opportunity to become part of a stable, friendly, and forward-thinking team that truly values continuity of care and the principles of "proper family medicine." The role is initially a 6 month contract to support a transition period for the practice. However, there is the possibility of transition into a substantive role.

You will be joining 8 GP Partners and a GP Retainer. As a

Advanced Clinical Support:
We have a dedicated team of three Advanced Nurse Practitioners who manage acute on-the-day appointments and lead our home visiting service, significantly supporting GP workload.

Comprehensive Nursing Team:
Our large nursing team consists of 5 Practice Nurses, 2 HCAs, and 3 Phlebotomists.

Integrated ARRS Roles:
We have an in-house Advanced Physiotherapist and support from a remote Clinical Pharmacist working alongside us to enhance patient care. We also have support from the PCN mental health and wellbeing services for our patients

Specialist Services:
We are a
Dispensing Practice
and have Partners with special interests, offering in-house Dermatology, Vasectomy services and access to Women's Health MDTs.

Collaborative Working:
We hold weekly 'Whiteboard Meetings' with community providers (District Nurses, Palliative Care, etc.) to ensure seamless, multidisciplinary care for our patients and build strong professional relationships.

The Role & Key Responsibilities
We are looking for a
Newly Qualified GP
to join us for
6 sessions per week
. This role is specifically designed to support a GP at the start of their career.
? To provide highly effective medical care to our population via a mixture of face-to-face and telephone consultations, including home visits.
? Effective management of patients with long-term conditions.
? Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy, and guidance.
? Undertake Duty Doctor sessions on a rotational basis (with a gradual and supportive introduction).
? Process administrative tasks in a timely manner.
? Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process.
? Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the practice and our PCN.
