Job Description

The introduction of General Practitioners to the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme provides an exciting opportunity for an additional General Practitioner to join our Team.
About the role:
The role is designed exclusively for newly qualified GPs, offering a rare opportunity to ease into general practice. The ARRS GP will be a key member of the practice multi-disciplinary team and will be responsible for delivering the full range of primary care services. The successful candidate will have completed their certificate of completion of training (CCT) no more than 2 years before the starting with us and must not have been previously substantively employed as a GP in general practice. We are offering this position on a fixed term contract, initially for 12 months.
About the Practice:
We are situated in the South Norfolk market town of Harleston. We are a dispensing practice with approximately 8000 patients and a well-established, hugely successful, supportive, stable and vibrant team.

  • This is a new post to bring an additional GP into our practice team
  • Supportive, dedicated, cohesive clinical, administrative and management team
  • Well established, inclusive clinical governance and meeting structure
  • Particularly proactive team of Social Prescribers across the week, Pharmacist and First Contact Physiotherapists
  • Daily GP coffee break to discuss and plan the day ahead - the coffee is excellent!
  • Close to Diss train station with links to London Liverpool Street
  • In-house clinical teaching
  • 1 day per month to pursue a particular clinical interest and develop personally
  • SystmOne practice
  • Ardens templates in use
  • Low visit load
  • Outstanding CQC rating in 2019
