Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a creative and committed Art and Design ECT to join a secondary school in Northumberland from January 2026. This full-time role is ideal for an early career teacher looking to nurture student creativity and contribute to a thriving arts culture.
- Art Teacher role for ECTs - Full-time from January 2026
- Teaching KS3 and GCSE Art with access to studio spaces and digital tools
- Join an innovative Art department passionate about visual storytelling and design
You'll deliver hands-on, project-based learning that encourages creative thinking and artistic skill development. From painting and print to digital design, you'll support students in building strong portfolios.
Experience and Qualifications
- QTS with Art and Design specialism
- Practical experience from training placements, especially with KS3/KS4
- Willingness to lead or support exhibitions and creative clubs
- Legal right to work in the UK
