We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Art Teacher to inspire and nurture creativity in students across various age groups. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging art lessons, fostering a positive learning environment, and encouraging artistic expression. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development of young minds through visual arts, while working within a supportive educational setting.
Successfull candidate will be starting in January, and will be need 4 days per week (Monday- Thursday).
Safeguarding Training will be provided.
Duties
Plan and deliver age-appropriate art lessons that align with curriculum standards and encourage creative exploration.
Organise and supervise practical art activities, ensuring safety and proper use of materials.
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their artistic growth.
Manage behaviour effectively to maintain a focused and respectful classroom environment.
Incorporate diverse artistic techniques, styles, and media to broaden students' understanding of art.
Foster an inclusive atmosphere that celebrates individual expression and cultural diversity.
Communicate regularly with parents and colleagues regarding student development and programme updates.
Maintain organised records of lesson plans, student work, and assessments.
Requirements
Proven experience in early childhood education or teaching art at various levels.
Strong behaviour management skills to create a positive classroom environment.
Excellent communication skills to engage students, parents, and colleagues effectively.
A genuine passion for art and education, with the ability to inspire creativity in young learners.
Knowledge of different artistic techniques, media, and educational best practices.
Organised with the ability to plan lessons that cater to diverse learning needs.
Relevant teaching qualifications or certifications are preferred but not essential. This position offers an enriching opportunity for educators committed to fostering artistic talents in a nurturing environment.
