Position: Permanent, Full-time, Hybrid (at least 3 days/week in the office)

We're looking for a talented and versatile Art Editor to bring The i Paper's journalism to life across digital and print platforms. This is a hands-on design role that requires creativity, attention to detail, and a keen editorial sense.

Main Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and high-quality design across online and print formats. Ensure visual consistency withThe i Paper'sbrand identity while producing fresh, professional, and eye-catching layouts. Take charge of front-page designon select days, collaborating with duty editors, the Art Director, and production teams to create standout covers. Work closely with the audience team to develop compelling digital design assets -- including banners, hero images, skylines and other artwork -- that amplify our journalism online. Provide visual support to the production team, advising on the most effective ways to present editorial content. Produce occasional infographics, charts, and data visualisationsto enhance storytelling across platforms. Adapt and refine templates and graphic elements as needed. Report directly to the Art Director.

Person Specification

Strong background in editorial design with experience across print and digital. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and experience with content management systems. A sharp eye for layout, typography, and image selection. A collaborative team player who thrives under deadline pressure and is passionate about journalism.
