Alchemy is excited to be teaming up with a prestigious Internationally Established London Gallery looking for a Press Officer to join their team of excellent art experts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Writing with press releases, media alerts, invites and gallery event texts
• Overseeing the planning and implementing strategic and international press campaigns to promote the gallery\'s exhibition programs, events, artist and gallery announcement/involvement
• Closely work with the Head of Digital and Marketing for London to ensure communications and social media efforts are coordinated
• Developing key relationships with press contacts, locally, nationally and internationally
• Liaise with artist studios to develop press material for content
• Manage and maintain the press database including admin tasks as updating the press clippings etc.
• Proactively gather new press contacts by coordinating the press mailing data
• Management of journalist briefings, photo calls, press breakfasts, dinners, trips, and work events to support the galleries\' events and projects
• Liaise with museum press offices and PR agencies
• Representation of the gallery at UK and Europe events

Use Mailchimp to write and format press email communication

Required Skills:

• A University degree, preferably in arts or humanities subjects (B.A)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrate strong analytical, organisational, interpersonal, and impeccable attention to detail skills
• Passion for visual arts and knowledge of the contemporary art scene
• Great IT skills: e.g. effortless use of Mailchimp, Microsoft Office and Mac OS X is a must
• A team player with a desire to be a part of a wonderful team within a vibrant fast-paced environment
