We are recruiting Learning Support Assistants on behalf of a specialist education setting in Reading. This role offers hands-on experience supporting children and young people with autism, communication differences, sensory needs and learning disabilities. You will work closely with teachers and therapists, using creativity and patience to help pupils express themselves, develop confidence and build essential life skills.

What You Will Be Doing
Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis throughout the school day
Assisting with creative, sensory and structured activities that promote communication and independence
Encouraging emotional regulation using calming, visual or artistic approaches
Helping with personal care, feeding or mobility needs where required (full training provided)
Working collaboratively with teachers and therapists on individual support plans
Ensuring pupils are safe, calm and engaged in learning and creative tasks
Your creativity and encouragement can make a lasting difference.
We Would Love to Hear From You If You Have:
A qualification or strong interest in Art, Design, Creative Arts or related fields
Experience supporting children, young people or vulnerable individuals (paid or voluntary)
A genuine passion for helping pupils express themselves and build confidence
Patience, resilience and a calm, positive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A willingness to learn and develop within a school environment
School-based experience is not required--your creativity, empathy and willingness to support young people matter most.
Training is provided as part of your onboarding.
