Job Description

Art Teacher - Specialist 3D/Sculpture Role and Lead Portfolio Development for Applied Arts Courses - Barking & Dagenham
A high-performing secondary academy in Barking & Dagenham is seeking an experienced and inspiring Art Teacher with a specialization in 3D Art, Ceramics, or Sculpture from January 2026.

  • Art Teacher required from January 2026.
  • Barking & Dagenham-based school with an exceptional academic record and a focus on Creative Arts progression.
  • Ideal for a teacher passionate about three-dimensional design and preparing students for top Art Foundation and university courses.
You will teach Art across KS3-KS5, with a leadership focus on 3D media and the A-Level Fine Art course. The role includes managing specialist equipment (e.g., kiln, workshop tools) and mentoring students through the UCAS portfolio submission process.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Fine Art, Ceramics, or Sculpture.
  • Proven success in achieving high grades at A-Level Art, particularly 3D components.
  • Experience in successfully mentoring students through the UCAS portfolio process.
  • Expertise in managing and safely operating a kiln/workshop space.
