We are currently seeking a creative, passionate and motivated Art Teacher to join an ambitious and forward-thinking secondary school in Slough. This is a full-time, permanent position starting January 2026 (or earlier for an exceptional candidate). About the Role
As an Art Teacher at this ambitious school, your responsibilities will include:
  • Teaching Art across KS3-KS4
  • Delivering inspiring and varied lessons that develop creativity and confidence
  • Guiding students through coursework, projects and portfolio development
  • Supporting extracurricular activities such as art clubs, exhibitions and competitions
  • Contributing to the ongoing development of the Art curriculum
  • Encouraging high standards of presentation, technique and artistic expression
  • Working collaboratively within a supportive and innovative team
This role is suitable for both experienced teachers and strong ECTs.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Degree in Art, Fine Art or a related creative discipline
  • PGCE with QTS
  • Ability to teach Art at KS3-KS4 confidently
  • Strong creative and technical skills across a range of artistic media
  • A passion for inspiring young people and promoting the arts
  • Excellent organisational, communication and classroom-management skills
Salary
Paid to scale - MPS/UPS depending on experience.
