Job Title: Art Teacher
Location: Barnsley (S70 & S71)
Pay Rate: Up to 200 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are seeking experienced Art Teachers to work in schools across Barnsley (S70 & S71). This is a fantastic opportunity to nurture creativity, imagination, and self-expression through engaging and inclusive art lessons.
As an Art Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Teach a range of artistic techniques and media, encouraging creativity and experimentation.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment.
• Support pupils to develop confidence and technical skills.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
• Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times.

Requirements for the role:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Experience teaching Art at school level.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• A passion for motivating and inspiring young people through creative education.
• An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
