This rewarding role involves teaching art across
Key Stages 2 to 4
, tailoring lessons to meet the diverse needs of students with
Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs)
in a supportive and inclusive setting.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver engaging Art lessons
with a focus on supporting SEMH needs.
Adapt teaching methods and materials to suit individual learning styles and abilities.
Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and external agencies, maintaining strong communication with parents and carers.
Regularly assess, monitor, and report on student progress, implementing targeted interventions as required.
Foster a nurturing, creative, and safe environment while maintaining appropriate boundaries.
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
in the UK.
Proven experience working with pupils with
SEMH needs
.
Commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of young people.
Ability to inspire creativity while establishing clear boundaries.
Previous experience in SEMH settings is highly valued, though transferable skills from related roles will also be considered.
