Job Description

A welcoming and well-established Good-rated secondary school in Clacton-on-Sea is seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher for an immediate start. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity to join a supportive Visual Arts department that values creativity, technical skill development, and student self-expression. The Role
You will teach Art across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering a curriculum that develops students' confidence in drawing, painting, mixed media, print, and digital processes. There is a strong emphasis on nurturing individual artistic identity, along with structured skill-building to support GCSE success. You will be involved in:
Planning and delivering inspiring, well-sequenced lessons
Supporting GCSE coursework and assessment
Curating high-quality displays across the school
Encouraging independent artistic exploration and risk-taking
Contributing to enrichment activities such as clubs, competitions, and exhibitions
