Art Teacher
Job Description
We are looking for a fun & enthusiastic Arts & Crafts Teacher to run weekly after school clubs at a Primary School in Hemel Hempstead. The job is from 3pm - 4.30pm every Thursday during term time, this includes set up and clear up. This role starts in January.
Direct experience is not necessary as training will be provided, just the willingness to get 'stuck in', the ability to kindly yet confidently manage a class room, high energy and a passion for Arts & Crafts!
This is a self- employed role & you will be expected to provide us with proof of a valid advanced DBS check. We can assist with obtaining the checks if needed. Paediatric First Aid training is provided.
All materials & lesson plans are provided. The main duties are:
- Setting up the project of the day & clearing down when complete
- Delivering the lessons goal by teaching the art or craft of the day & supporting the children as they work on their project
- Ensuring the lesson is both fun and creative!
- Managing the safety of the children - register checks, toilet runs, supporting any children with learning difficulties, safe sign out etc.
The children's safety & enjoyment are the most important. An assistant will be provided if the class requires support.
