A high-achieving and well-respected 11-18 secondary school in Hertfordshire is seeking an inspirational Art Teacher to join their thriving Visual Arts Department from January 2026. This is a full-time, permanent position offering the opportunity to teach in one of the county's most successful and forward-thinking schools.

About the Role
The appointed teacher will teach Art & Design across KS3-KS5, inspiring students to explore both traditional and contemporary forms of artistic expression. Lessons will encourage experimentation, reflection, and critical analysis, helping pupils to develop technical skill, creative confidence, and cultural awareness. You will play an active role in developing students' GCSE and A-Level portfolios, guiding them towards success in both assessed coursework and external exhibitions.
The Art Department is a dynamic, collaborative, and well-resourced team with a strong ethos of innovation and inclusion. Facilities include large, purpose-built studios, a fully equipped Mac suite for digital art and design, a ceramics and sculpture room, and dedicated exhibition spaces that showcase student work throughout the year. In addition to classroom teaching, you will have the chance to:

Experience and Qualifications
  • QTS/PGCE and degree in Art & Design, Fine Art, or a related discipline
