About the Role:
We are looking for an imaginative and passionate
Part-Time Art Teacher
to join our secondary school, teaching
small groups of Year 7, 8 and 9 students
. This role is perfect for a creative educator who thrives on inspiring young people through visual arts and enjoys working with early secondary learners in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and inclusive Art lessons aligned with the KS3 curriculum
Encourage creativity, experimentation, and self-expression through a range of media
Plan and prepare stimulating schemes of work and lesson materials
Support students in developing their artistic skills and confidence
Maintain a positive, well-managed classroom environment
Track student progress and provide clear feedback to pupils and parents/carers
Contribute to school displays and exhibitions showcasing student work
Requirements:
Degree in Art, Fine Art, or a related discipline
Teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE) preferred but not essential for the right candidate
Experience teaching KS3 or secondary-aged students is desirable
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Enthusiastic, organised, and committed to student development
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
