GSL Education is seeking a creative and passionate Art Teacher to join one of our client schools located in Slough, Berkhire. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic educator who is committed to inspiring students through art and encouraging their artistic expression.
The Role:
As an Art Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and dynamic art lessons to students across various year groups. You will develop and implement a creative curriculum that fosters students' artistic skills and appreciation for visual arts. You will also be responsible for assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and supporting their overall artistic development.
Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality art lessons that inspire creativity and self-expression.
• Teach a range of artistic techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art.
• Encourage students to explore different art forms and experiment with various materials and media.
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that nurtures students' artistic talents.
• Assess and evaluate student work, providing constructive feedback to help them improve.
• Organize and participate in art exhibitions, workshops, and extracurricular activities.
• Stay updated on contemporary art trends and incorporate them into the curriculum.

Essential Requirements as an Art Teacher:

• Relevant UK teaching qualification, such as a PGCE in Art and Design with QTS.
• Strong knowledge of various art techniques and mediums.
• Experience teaching Art at secondary school level.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students, fostering a love for the arts.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment.
• In possession of an Enhanced DBS or willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
