Location: Brighton, Lancing, Worthing, Littlehampton, Shorham or Peacehaven

Contract Type: Full Time / Part Time contracts \xe2\x80\x93 FTCs with Temp to Perm

Salary: \xc2\xa3120 \xe2\x80\x93 \xc2\xa3200 day rate

Are you a creative and passionate individual with a strong background in Art/Graphics?

We are seeking a dynamic Secondary School Art/Graphics Teacher to join our team of teachers. As a valued member of the school faculty, you will inspire and guide students in exploring their artistic talents and nurturing their creative potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach Art/Graphics: Deliver engaging and interactive lessons in Art/Graphics to students at various levels within the secondary school, fostering their artistic skills and appreciation.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development of the Art/Graphics curriculum, incorporating innovative teaching methods and keeping up-to-date with educational trends.
  • Student Engagement: Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment, where students are encouraged to express themselves through art and graphic design.
  • Assessment and Feedback: Assess student work effectively, provide constructive feedback, and track their progress to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Extra-Curricular Activities: Organize and lead art-related extracurricular activities or clubs to further enrich students\xe2\x80\x99 artistic experiences.
  • Inspire Creativity: Encourage students to think critically, explore their creativity, and develop their own artistic style.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary learning experiences and contribute to the school\xe2\x80\x99s artistic community.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a well-organized and stimulating classroom conducive to learning.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a relevant subject (Art, Graphics, or related field).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is advantageous but not essential.
  • Passion for art and graphics with a strong portfolio showcasing your creative work.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students to excel in art and graphics.
  • Innovative and adaptable teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Commitment to professional development and staying updated with industry trends.
  • Organisational skills to manage classroom resources and materials effectively.
  • A sense of adventure and a willingness to explore new teaching approaches (adventurous spirit is a plus but not mandatory).
