About the Role:



Rosie's Art Club is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Teaching Assistant Apprentice (Supporting & Learning) to join our dynamic team in Croydon and surrounding areas. If you're passionate about working with children and want to help create a fun, engaging, and creative learning environment, this is the perfect role for you! You'll be working alongside

Rosie

, an experienced art teacher, supporting small groups of children aged 4-16 in a variety of settings- including school classes, nurseries, holiday camps, private tuition, and evening classes.

This apprenticeship provides both online learning and hands-on experience. During your time with us, you will work towards becoming a fully qualified teacher, able to work independently in classrooms. You will also gain a nationally recognized qualification, with the opportunity for salary progression as you gain experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:



Assist in teaching small groups of children alongside Rosie, ensuring a supportive and engaging learning experience. Encourage and motivate students, creating an exciting atmosphere where they feel comfortable and confident to explore their creativity. Provide one-on-one support for students when needed, helping them develop their skills and confidence. Support the planning and delivery of fun and engaging art lessons. Support Rosie with day-to-day admin and marketing. Help with classroom setup and preparation of resources. Work with children in various settings: school classes, pre-school, holiday camps, private tuition, and evening classes.

Qualifications:



No prior qualifications required - full training will be provided. Opportunity to gain a Level 3 or Level 5 qualification as part of the apprenticeship. Upon completion of the apprenticeship, you will be a fully qualified teacher, able to work independently in classrooms.

Additional Course:



As part of the apprenticeship, you will complete a

SEND (Special Educational Needs & Disabilities)

course to help support children with diverse learning needs.

In the First 4 Weeks:



You will complete the following mandatory training:

First Aid

Safeguarding

DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service)

check

Who We're Looking For:



Applicants must be full of

energy, enthusiasm, and creativity

- someone who can get kids excited about learning and make art fun! Must have a genuine interest in working with children and supporting their learning. Ability to work well in a team and assist an experienced art teacher. A positive attitude and strong communication skills. Someone that has a creative flair and enjoys arts and crafts.

Salary Progression:



Starting Salary:

11,778 per year. As you gain experience and qualifications, the salary will increase, reaching up to

15,000 per year

during the apprenticeship.

Full-Time Role After Apprenticeship:



Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will be offered a

full-time role

at Rosie's Art School with a salary ranging from

16,000 to 21,000 per year

depending on experience and qualifications. In addition, you will be a fully qualified teacher, capable of working independently in classrooms.

Requirements:



Must be

16 years old or over

and

not in full-time education

. Must be

employed in a relevant role

that aligns with the apprenticeship. Must be working a

minimum of 30 hours per week

. Must have the

right to work in the UK

Purpose of the Role:



The

Level 3 Teaching Assistant apprenticeship

equips learners with the skills and behaviours needed to support teaching and learning in schools. This programme enables individuals to make a positive difference to pupils' development while giving employers skilled staff who can strengthen the classroom environment.

By completing this apprenticeship, you will build the essential skills to support teaching and learning across various settings--ensuring every student gets the support they need to thrive.

Course Overview:



The apprenticeship covers key areas such as:

Child Development

: Understanding how children learn and grow.

Supporting Learning

: Practical techniques for providing in-class support to teachers and pupils.

Assessment

: Learning how to assess pupil progress and help teachers evaluate student needs.

Technology in Education

: Using technology to support teaching and learning.

Teamwork in Schools

: Working effectively with teachers, other support staff, and pupils.
Learners will gain practical, hands-on experience in classrooms, building the knowledge to provide effective support to both teachers and pupils.
