About the Role
The successful candidate will play a central role in supporting the Art department across KS3-KS4, ensuring lessons run smoothly and practical work is delivered in an engaging, safe, and well-prepared environment. You will assist teachers during demonstrations, maintain studio spaces, prepare materials for lessons, and help students during practical tasks such as painting, mixed media, clay modelling, printmaking, and digital artwork.
You will also have the opportunity to support GCSE students with their project development, help curate school exhibitions, organise displays around the school, and ensure artwork is presented professionally. The role is suited to someone who thrives in creative spaces, enjoys variety, and can multitask effectively while keeping the art rooms well organised.
School Information
The school is a popular, oversubscribed institution known for its warm ethos, strong behaviour expectations, and supportive staff culture. The Art department is highly valued, and students are enthusiastic, respectful, and eager to engage with creative tasks. Studios are spacious, well-lit, and equipped with a wide range of materials, providing an inspiring environment for students and staff.
Leadership at this school prioritises professional respect, clear communication and manageable workloads. Support staff are seen as essential contributors to the success of each department, and you will receive strong guidance while still being trusted with independent responsibilities.
