Art Technician required from January 2026 to work on a full-time, permanent basis

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Art Technician to join the Art Department at a highly regarded Independent School in Watford. This is a full-time, permanent position offering the chance to play an important role in supporting teachers and students across a range of artistic disciplines. The successful candidate will help maintain a professional and inspiring studio environment, ensuring that lessons and exhibitions run smoothly and safely.
Experience and Qualifications

  • Previous experience working as an Art Technician or within a creative environment (school or gallery preferred)
  • Strong practical knowledge of art materials, tools, and techniques across a variety of media
  • Confident using digital art and design software (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage stock, prepare resources, and support both staff and pupils effectively
  • Art or Design qualification desirable
