Summary

We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and qualified

Art Therapist

to join our team. The Art Therapist will use the creative process of art-making to improve and enhance the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of individuals across a wide range of ages and backgrounds. This role involves conducting individual and group sessions, developing personalized treatment plans, and collaborating with other healthcare or education professionals to support holistic care.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct art therapy sessions for individuals and groups. Assess clients' needs and establish therapeutic goals through art-based techniques. Develop and implement individualised treatment plans. Maintain accurate and confidential records of client progress and outcomes. Collaborate with psychologists, counselors, social workers, and medical professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team. Provide crisis intervention and support when needed. Educate clients and families on the therapeutic benefits of creative expression. Participate in case conferences and treatment planning meetings. Stay up to date on best practices and continuing education in art therapy and mental health.

Requirements

Master's degree (or equivalent) in Art Therapy/Art Psychotherapy

from a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)-approved training course.
