Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving, with experience in delivery driving and warehouse operations. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The Driver will play a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to excellent service and timely deliveries.

Duties

Operate various types of vehicles, including flatbed lorries, to transport goods to designated locations. Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, adhering to all safety protocols. Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, addressing any mechanical issues as needed. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times. Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues that may arise. Follow all traffic laws and regulations while on the road to ensure safety for yourself and others. Assist with warehouse duties when required, including inventory management and organisation.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge is an advantage for troubleshooting vehicle issues on the road. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients. Previous experience in a warehouse setting is beneficial. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently while adhering to schedules. A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
