Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and responsible Artic Flatbed / Moffett Driver to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience on a flatbed vehicle and be confident using a Moffett (truck-mounted forklift) for loading and unloading. A flexible, can-do attitude is essential, as the role involves working across various sectors with different handling requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Load and unload goods using a Moffett, ensuring cargo is secured correctly
Handle a wide variety of loads
Liaise professionally with clients on-site, often representing the company directly
Assist with site setups for event and installation work where required
Perform regular vehicle checks and report any defects
Ensure that paperwork is is completed accurately and promptly
Requirements:
Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
Clean driving record preferred
Experience in flatbed and moffett work
Knowledge of load securing methods, especially for delicate or unusual cargo
Good communication and customer service skills
Physically fit and able to assist with loading/unloading when necessary
A flexible approach to hours and working patterns (occasional early starts, late finishes, or overnight stays)
Desirable:
Previous experience working in sectors such as sculpture transport, HVAC logistics, or event haulage
Forklift licence (counterbalance or telehandler)
Training considered for the right candidate
Mechanical knowledge or willingness to assist with basic vehicle upkeep
