Artist Host

Chester, United Kingdom

Job Description

**Please do not apply for this position if you do not currently own a car & have a full driving license valid in the UK** Can you paint? Do you want to top up your existing salary with a fun and rewarding job? Are you looking to do something totally different? The Paint Republic have been hosting successful painting events in the UK for 8 years. We are all about making art accessible to people who do not consider themselves artistic or creative in anyway. Inspired by the global \xe2\x80\x98Paint & Sip\xe2\x80\x99 concept, we teach members of the public and corporate teams how to paint a masterpiece in a fun and relaxed atmosphere, at their local bar or restaurant. We are on a the hunt for a North-West Artist Host who can lightly instruct 15-40 people step-by-step from blank canvas through to a set masterpiece painting while at a local bar. We are changing the way art is taught; this is not a paint class but a paint party and requires the artist host to be confident, fun, charismatic and creatively openminded at all times. You must (essential):

  • Be able to paint confidently, no professional art qualifications are required.
  • Have a flexible diary. Public events are scheduled 6 weeks prior to event dates. Availability is required 1-3 nights a week, typically weekday evenings 5:00pm-10pm. Some weekend work may also be required. During holiday seasons, expect minimal hours. You may also be asked to host corporate events on an ad hoc basis.
  • Share our ethos that anyone can create something from nothing and be proud of the outcome. Events are not about being \'good\' at art. We promote an ego-free and accepting environment where people of all abilities are encouraged to explore and create in whichever way they desire.
  • Have your own car to transport equipment to venues and be confident.
  • Be physically fit - lifting boxes and canvases are required.
  • Be 100% committed to hosting and delivering each event you accept.
  • Be responsible for setting up and starting events on time.
  • Be able to create a fun and relaxing atmosphere.
  • Be outgoing, comfortable with a crowd and handle challenges.
