About Equally Safe Service

- Equally Safe is part of a partnership approach within Falkirk, delivered by Barnardo's in partnership with Aberlour and Falkirk council. The service provides support to individuals and families experiencing domestic abuse with a strong focus on safety, recovery and empowerment. Central to our work is a trauma informed, survivor led approach that recognises the expertise and strengths in those with lived experience.


About the role -

We are seeking As and When workers to support the delivery within our

survivor led pathway,

funded to ensure the voices and experiences of survivors are embedded at the heart of the services we provide. This role will contribute to the flexibility of the service delivery, engagement and developmental activities.


About you -

This role is particularly suited to someone who brings lived experience of domestic abuse and who is passionate about using that experience to support others and influence positive change. You may have experience of engaging with services as a survivor and be motivated to help shape safe, responsive and empowering support for others.



We are looking for someone who:


Has lived experience of domestic abuse Understands the impact of domestic abuse and the importance of a survivor led, trauma informed approach Can engage sensitively and safety with others Values partnership working Is reliable, flexible and able to work on an 'As and When' basis (individual needs will be considered)

Whilst the full pay band and salary range is advertised, our approach to starting salaries is to appoint between the minimum to mid-point of the pay band - this ensures that pay steps are available to reward our colleagues annually based on their contribution to excellence and alignment to our values and behaviours.
