Preventr is a growing fire and building safety compliance company working with commercial, residential, and public-sector clients across the South of England. As part of our continued expansion, we are looking to bring an experienced

Asbestos Surveyor

into our team to deliver high-quality, compliant asbestos surveys to recognised industry standards.

The Role

You will be responsible for carrying out asbestos surveys in line with

HSG264

, including:

Management asbestos surveys Refurbishment & demolition (R&D) surveys (limited and full scope) Targeted asbestos surveys to support refurbishment and fire safety works (e.g. fire door replacements) Bulk sampling of suspect materials and liaison with UKAS-accredited laboratories Producing clear, accurate survey reports with photographs, plans, and recommendations Liaising professionally with clients, site managers, and internal teams
Work will primarily be based across

Dorset and the wider South West

, with occasional travel further afield using a company vehicle.

Essential Requirements

BOHS P402

- Surveying and Sampling Strategies for Asbestos in Buildings (or equivalent) Proven experience carrying out asbestos surveys in occupied and unoccupied buildings Strong working knowledge of

HSG264

Competent in bulk sampling techniques and safe systems of work Confident producing professional, defensible survey reports Full UK driving licence
Desirable (but not essential)

Experience with fire doors / compartmentation Experience with refurbishment / demolition surveys Experience working with UKAS-accredited systems Additional BOHS modules (P403 / P404 / P405) Experience surveying commercial or public-sector premises
